In Red Rock Canyon we find petrified sand dunes in light-red, dark red, and yellow. The National Conservation Area is highly frequented from visitors from Las Vegas and California, from day-trippers and climbers. The park isnt a stunner when coming from Utah, but lowlanders seem to go into raptures. It is not a detour; the Scenic Drive is pretty, and the scenery worth visiting.
